27 Feb Lets Talk about Sex

Sex seems to be such a taboo thing to speak about and especially here in INDIA.  Indians are quite conservative when it comes to this and even something such as a simple kiss is not even done in public.  Parents would never speak to their children about sex so whatever they learn about it is from the outside world.  It would be great if parents could speak to their children about it and they do in North America but still not the Indians there.

Key Things Parents should teach their child

1) Sex is a consentual act between two adults who are committed to each other
2) If you are a man you can not force any woman into having sex with you it is her choice
3) Babies are made from having sex, the mens semen enters the vagina and connects with an egg to create a life
4) Teach them how to have safe sex
5) Teach your girls that men are created in a way where they do crave sex
6) most Indian parents may also want to tell their children that they should not have sex before marriage
7) Use the correct names for each thing like the genitals
8) During this conversation you can also talk to your daughter about her periods and how the eggs are created

I recall watching Bollywood films as a child and there was not even kissing in them again as our culture is so conservative.  However India has surely changed, there is now kissing in Bollywood films and they have gone as far to letting a Porn star enter the Bollywood industry.  Today we are giving our children the example of a Porn Star.  Porn is Sex and it is publicly done and tapped for others to watch on their own time.  Today in INDIA Sunny Leone is the number one googled person.  This tells us clearly that people are interested in Sex and even if they did not know she was a porn star if they just google her its her porn that comes up first.  Many say if she changed her life and wanted a new life in Bollywood she should have left her porn star name and entered with her real name of Karenjeet Kaur to prevent Indians from getting to her Porn and especially our kids.  Kids today are all over the internet and will google stars.  Its just sad that when our children google this star they will enter into the world of Pornography.  Young girls will look at this actress as an example and now will think that Porn is ok in our culture god knows many may feel to go in the direction she did herself.  Just think about the example we are giving our young children especially the ones who know how to use google.

I believe times have changed and Sex is now something more open to discuss.  Schools now have sex education in North America but not sure it is yet to come into the schools in INDIA.  Kids in North America are having sex at the young age of 16 as there they have more options of places to be alone.  Here in INDIA I think women are a bit more traditional and want to wait until marriage.  This causes us a problem as the men are craving sex but they can not get it.  They watch these porn videos of Sunny Leone an also get very excited.  In my eyes I believe this is what leads to rape.  As a man is so excited and can not get consensual sex he forces her into it and rapes her to satisfy himself.

Rape is a growing crime not only in INDIA but all around the world.  We need to better educate our children as we are responsible for their actions.  It needs to be clear that Rape is not acceptable and the consequences to them for any rape.  No woman should be forced into having sex and especially if she never has it is quite painful.  Whats worse is that men are raping children and babies.  Where have we come to in this world?  It seems we have a lot of mentally sick men who can even imagine to do such things.

We have to ask ourselves what can we do about this.  What needs to change as without change we can not improve.  What is it that you could do to make a difference.  If you are a parent the best way to make a difference is to teach your children about Sex and Rape and what these things are and the difference of consensual sex and rape.  Sex should be spoken about more so that our next generation is well educated on it.  You the parent are responsible for all your children actions so as you teach them about life don’t forget the one important thing which is Sex.

Sex is a natural thing god made us this way and there is nothing wrong with it if it is consensual sex.  The age that is right for you to have sex will be different than others each person is an individual just be sure to have safe sex.
